Hello!

My machine contains the following specifications; it is operating with windows 7 home premium 64 bit, AMD X250 Athlon II, it’s random access memory is 4 Gigabytes, Radeon HD 4770 Grand processing unit Gigabyte MOBO GA-MA789GM with award dual basic input output system and a corsair 550 watts power supply unit. Well I got a suggestion that settings should make more alterations in the BIOS settings after I had tried operating sisof-US2Ht Sandra. When I started on the computer and pressed the delete key, a notification told me “getting ready to go into set up”. Unfortunately what shows on the display is some disorderly colored stuff. Besides this minor challenge all the other application, internet and graphics are working well and in the meantime they haven’t posed any challenges to me.  I would however be grateful if you can offer me any ideas so that I won’t get stranded in future in case I decide to overhaul the system.

Hi Elvin

First of all you need to understand that BIOS display uses basic video resources, it appears before your the driver for your video card is loaded. Therefore it will use the basic resources available. As a result the BIOS display will be poor, it consists of blue background with white characters that with only one format. Here is a picture of a normal BIOS screen.

If your BIOS screen is like above then you have nothing to worry about. Otherwise something is wrong with your basic video device. Or the problem could be with the your monitor. A faulty BIOS can be another cause of this.

Hi Elvin,

When i check you OS, Hardwares it's all latest in the market today and i don't believe that you encounter deffects by that. Your problem is in your first display after you boot, you experiencing what you called color disordering, beside every is okay aside from that. It is just a minimal error as you mentioned you touch something on the BIOS. The solution for this minimal problem is this:

1. Restart your computer.

2. Press "del"

3. Choose Restore default settings.

4. Save and Exit.

Thanks,

Lina
