Disappeared adobe illustrator’s tools and got error

Today something happened to adobe illustrator and I have no idea what to do now. The brushes, palettes and other tools just disappeared and I get the following error when I try to open previously saved files and I can’t edit them. Any help would be appreciated.

The document 'Print.ai' contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements, but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The missing plug-ins are listed below.

Why not try uninstalling Adobe Illustrator and then install it back to fix any corrupted files in the installation and to restore its settings back to default including some that you might have customized. You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton SystemWorks or Norton Utilities. Any errors in the hard drive’s file system can cause different problems to applications. It can also cause an error in an installation and make it go wrong which in turn leads to an incomplete installation of the product.
