Hello Techyv Users,

I need to disable the Thunderbird automatic connect for e-mail checking. Please do the needful for providing me the inputs on changing the Account settings of Thunderbird, so that I can disable the Thunderbird automatic connect.

Disable the Thunderbird automatic connect for e-mail checking

Hi Edward,
The steps to disable thunderbird automatic email checking are as follows:
1) Click 'Edit', Select 'Account settings'
2) Navigate to 'select your incoming mail account'
3) In the server settings, uncheck 'Check for new messages on startup' and 'Check for new messages every X minutes' checkbox
4) Under the Advanced tab, uncheck 'Use IDLE command if the server supports it' checkbox
