Diablo 2 windows application error

Hi fellows,

I am on windows vista OS. I recently tried to install Diablo II on my system but unfortunately the installation failed and ended up in an error. The screenshot of the error is as follows:

Exception Error Diablo II Game I am On Windows Vista, error started about 3 Weeks Ago.

I have 1. Reinstalled Diablo 2 from Discs 2. Reinstalled D2nt 3. Tried Running game.exe as admin, as well as unchecked.

I could not resolve this issue so I really need your assistance.

Diablo II: Windows – Application error

The message states:

Diablo II: Windows – Application error

The exception unknown software exception (0x0000417) occurred in the application at location 0x1009083b.

Can anyone please shed some light on this issue? I'll be really grateful for any kind of help and support.

Hi,this problem is caused because of your firewall. Disabling the firewall will solve the problem. If your using windows 7 then follow these steps to disable your firewall:

1. Click on start.

2. Go to systems and security.

3. Windows firewall and then disable.

You can also add an exception for the game by following the above steps and then clicking on allow a program through firewall.

This is a temporary connection problem. Try to reconnect several times. If that did not work then try to play the game in administrator mode.

If your RAM creates any problem then that problem can be happen. So check that.
