Hi there,

Device driver software was not successfully installed – this is the message that I have every time when I connect a new device to my PC. I tried everything, even I reinstalled my Windows Vista and still this error gives me a headache. Please anyone help me to fix this! Why is impossible to solve this?

Device driver software was not install successfully

The default device driver is unable to detect and install the proper driver for your device. So this failure message is appearing. This error sometimes happens when you’re out of luck to have the right driver for all types of devices in your PC.

The best solution for this issue is to install the driver manually. Find out the manufacturer of the device and go to their website for their latest driver.

Also, plug out the device and then re-plug it with your PC.

Go to Start menu >> Control Panel >> Hardware and Sound >> Devices and Printers. Right-click on the device with “!” mark and select “Troubleshoot”. This will give you several suggestions to fix the issue. Follow the steps described there.
