Device Driver Digital Signature Fault Is Showing Error Code 52 On Windows 7.

I am not able to view contents of my pen drive on my PC since yesterday. The contents are seen correct if the device is plugged into another machine. Every time I am getting the error code 52 on Windows 7 and showing a message that Windows is unable to verify the digital signature for the driver need for this device. .What does this mean? How should I solve this?

Device Driver Digital Signature Fault Is Showing Error Code 52 On Windows 7.

You are having an issue with the drivers required for handling the USB devices. You must be getting error code 52 with a crash of program window each time and the system may be freezing frequently and working slowly. Reasons for such type of issues with code 52 can be defective hardware, misconfigured or old device drivers, corruption in Windows registry while installing or updating any software, issues with driver settings after new hardware installation or entry of any virus in the system.

You may get the following message on the screen:

If the issue is with the digital signature, then disable driver signature checking option by booting the system in ADVANCED BOOT OPTIONS.

Other options to solve this issue of code 52 are:

1. Check and repair the entries in Windows registry which are concerned with the error code 52.
2. Scan your PC for viruses.
3. Update the device drivers.
4. Install all updates for your Operating System if required.
5. Check your RAM and Hard drive for corruption.

If a satisfactory result is not obtained after trying above options, then try uninstalling and installing the drivers again to use all hardware devices without any interruption.

Device Driver Digital Signature Fault Is Showing Error Code 52 On Windows 7.

The full message for this error reads “Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)”. To fix this problem, you need to boot your computer into “Advanced Boot Options” and disable driver signing checking.

Restart your computer then press F8 before the Windows logo appears. In “Advanced Boot Options”, select “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement” then hit Enter to select and boot the computer with that option. Try inserting your USB flash drive again. See if this fixes the problem. This method helped a lot of users fixed this problem.
