Date and Time not changing and Causing Certificate Error issues

Currently I have Windows 8 installed in my Laptop and when I turn off and then switch it on again then the date and time do not change. They remain as it is due to this there are some certificate issues too with some websites. How should I fix this problem?

Date and Time not changing and Causing Certificate Error issues

Helo, How are you,

This issue is due to weak battery inside the laptop. It is this battery which maintains the date and time when the laptop is switched off. What happens is , when you switch off the laptop, the clock inside the laptop will not get the enough voltage to maintain the date and time thus it will retrieve the date which is the date on which the motherboard is manufactured.

Solution to this is, You may take the laptop to a Laptop technician and get the BIOS battery replaced.
