Create New Folder in Pictures Library

Hello All,

I am failing to create folder in Picture Library. There is no “New folder” button in the Explorer. How can I fix this problem?

Do I need to reinstall Windows 7 again?

Create New Folder in Pictures Library

Firstly are you trying to create a new folder in a restricted folder? If you indeed can’t create a new folder in your own pictures folder, some program/virus has changed the properties of your My Pictures folder, you can easily gain control over your My Pictures with a simple trick. Firstly you would need to download a small file of 622 bytes from this link https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?id=220167578171658&story_fbid=1408215969425944

 It has two small registry files in it with the extension .reg. You need to open the file that says ‘InstallTakeOwnerShip.reg’ and click yes if a window appears that warns you that your registry is being changed, it is safe so click yes. After that navigate to your My Pictures folder which is located in ‘ C:Users<your windows account name>My Pictures ‘ right click on the My Pictures folder and click on ‘ Take Ownership ‘ it will transfer the rights of that folder to your account and you will be able to make new folders again.

here is my trick

copy the content below and paste on new  notepad document and then just save this file as fix.reg ,,remember .reg extension is a must because then only u can make changes to the registry which is in your case is corrupted.. and when u have saved this file on your computer as a registry file then double click and select run after it and i guarantee your problem is solved.. cheers
