How can I retrieve my files from the hard disk that crashed due to bad sector?

Hi Scottie Jordan,

At first you should try to plug your HDD to another PC as a USB drive. Then try to recover it if possible. Are you already tried this and still this problem persists?

It means the disk is not seen in BIOS? Then you should go to data recovery firm and they will solve your problem. But it is not cheap at all.

There is also some software that will help you to recover your important file by skipping bad sector. I know there are many important files in HDD. So, I am going to give a link where you can get this type of software.

Hi,

Actually some bad sectors of the hard disk are cannot be fixed this is due to improper shutdown of operating system, aging of the personal computer, malware , etc. But there are some software that can be use to fix them but first try using Check disk, right click My Computer the go to tools then click check now and you can also try using this one Hirens Boot CD 14.1 and for your other question for retrieving files there are also a recovery tool installed in the Hirens Boot Cd 14.1
