CPU shows busy why this happens

I am using Soft share in virtual server which runs with Windows Server 2003 and have 8 GB RAM. The server performance is very slow. I have opened the task manager and it is showing whole CPU time is hogging by the task manager. But it is not getting fast when I close the task manager. Is it possible to view the actual CPU usage? If anybody knows why it is working slow, please let me know. I will thankful for all help and support.

CPU shows busy why this happens

There might be few conditions that why you are seeing a very heavy usage of pc. This can be due to the following reasons.

You have a lot of viruses in your system. Try installing a good antivirus like ESET NOD32 and scan your whole computer for any possible threats.

There are too many small things running in background. Go to Start and in Run type msconfig. In the startup tab uncheck all options that you don't know what they are except for the Microsoft options. Leave all of them intact. Save and restart.

Turn off the automatic updates of your windows.

Change the power cable of the computer. Sometimes due to malfunctioning of power the cpu usage gets 100% without any reason.
