Couldn’t install Adobe flash player on Kernel-Ex

I am using Kernel-Ex 4.5.120 and I tried installing the latest version of Adobe Flash Player without success.

I am always getting this error message “the install_flash_player_32bit.exe file is linked to missing export advapi32.dll:changeserviceconfig2w”.

Other versions of this program have installed successfully apart from this.

How can I resolve this?

The MSI installs with an error.

However, the plugin work in browsers running with comp. Mode 2k or XP.

Change the name of NPSWF32_11_5_xxx_xxx.dll to NPSWF32.dll in the C:WINDOWSSYSTEMMACROMEDFLASH folder. With the winhttp.dll is missing add it (XP version) to the system folder.

Alternatively you can upgrade your CPU which is more expensive.

Hi Sherry,

This is a known error for Adobe flash especially if you are using a Windows XP computer.

What you can do is to install the version where your Internet explorer works perfectly.

So far, the best version of Adobe flash player is their 10.1.53.64 version, install it under this directory C: > System > MacroMed > Flash.

Then restart your browser and check if you still see the error message.
