Hi Ammelia,

The problem you are facing is related to the registry of HP.

To fix this you have to look for the following registry:

  • HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstall
Find the value named InstallLocation which have the string "Hewlett-Packard\".

Just delete this value and try to run your installer again. It will work.

You can also look into the website for further help.

Thanks.

Hi good day,

The issue you're encountering is known HP issue, it’s happening to other application one example is Nitro Software that you are using.

This problem occurs when you’re removing or installing software programs which is most likely the same as Error 1606: Could Not Access Network Location.

The problem occurs when the setting is incorrect in one of the following registry subkeys:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerUser Shell Folders
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerUser Shell Folders

You can solve this automatically and manually:

Automatically just install this software found in the link click it and run and install.

This program is Microsoft Fixit. After installing just follow the wizard to solve the problem. If you want to solve manually,

Just go to Microsoft Article ID 886549 for complete instructions.

I hope this helps.
