I am trying to burn a CD with my Sony CD-R 700MB disc when I found this error on my event log files. I tried to search this online but I was unlucky to find a fix for this. Can someone share some thoughts or ideas with the error I am facing? Thank you.

Dear Ray,

It seems that a corruption happened to some system files. You can try some steps to repair this corruption:

Firstly give a try to DiskCleanup(you will find under Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> System tools). Second, type the command sfc/scannow in the command prompt, you should run the command prompt as an administrator.

And lastly, schedule checkdisk to run in the next start and then restart your machine.

And here is how to run check disk at startup:

Right click Computer and select Properties -> tools. Under the error checking section press "check now". Click the continue button and make sure to select both the options in the Check Disk window and then press Start. Press the "Schedule disk check" button to run disk  check in the next start.

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck
