Dear Sir,

Following are the general steps to do the design and development of any process.

(a)  Plan

(b) Concept Development

(c) Testing and Analysis

(d) Preliminary Development

(e) Testing and Bug Fixing

(f) Final Development

(g) Final Testing

(h) Clearance for use

As per present trade, CATIA software is generally used by engineering firms to do the development of Models and Drawings. These drawings and models are further analyzed by Analysis software for the verification and validation. At this stage, frequently Design engineers observed CATIA is not compatible with the use of ANSYS for analysis. During run time it creates the wrong boundaries which further affects the results of model and they have to do the re-designing for the open boundary by other compatible software (i.e. Hypermesh)

How we can remove the misalignment between CATIA and ANSYS?

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks,

With best regards,

Compatibility Problem between CATIA and ANSYS

CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) is a multi-platform CAD/CAM/CAE commercial software program collection developed by In France they business Dassault Systems. Designed in the particular C++ development vocabulary, CATIA is the cornerstone of the Dassault Systems merchandise lifecycle supervision software program suite.

Dassault Systems offers utilities to transform CATIA V4 data so that they are accessible to CATIA V5 and also CATIA V6. Nevertheless, instances show that there can be problems within the data conversion process from CATIA V4 to V5, coming from possibly differences in the actual geometric kernel between CATIA V4 and CATIA V5, or perhaps by the modeling techniques employed by clients. Experiment results reveal that there may be data reduction through the transformation (through 0% in order to 90%). The particular percentage loss may be minimized by using the suitable pre-conversion clean-up, seeking the appropriate the conversion process choices, and also clean-up actions right after transformation. However, transition from V5 to V6 is triggered because they share the identical geometric kernel. Third-party file translators additionally up-convert CATIA data files among versions.
