Comodo Internet Security Encounters Error 1603 After Installation

Dear friends,

I am using windows vista OS on my system.

I installed the comodo internet security on my system a few days ago, but I had to uninstall it for some reason.

Now when I am trying to install it again, I fail because I get the following error on my screen:

The translated error reads as:

"Unable to install Comodo Internet Security, Error 1603. Unrecoverable error during installation"

Can anyone suggest me a reason why is this happening?

I didn’t face any problem the first time I installed it. Can there be a problem with the windows vista registry?

I posted it to many forums and the only solution I got was to reinstall the windows. Any solution other to this is most welcome.

Comodo Internet Security Encounters Error 1603 After Installation

It seems this problem is caused by uninstalling the application completely.

You can use a program like total uninstaller or there is a solution(uninstaller) provided to this problem at comodo forums:

That program is not made by comodo team, but by members who have the same problem as you.

Comodo Internet Security Encounters Error 1603 After Installation

Hello!

The following clean-up tool might do the trick in solving the issue on installing Comodo Internet security that could possibly be brought by uninstalled file/part of previously installed version.

Try visiting these links:

• Uninstaller Tool for Comodo Products, inc CIS v5
• Clean-Up Tool for Comodo Internet Security

Also try to check on your programs of Anti-Virus being used. It could be that each AV is scanning each other.

Try to disable realtime scanner of the AV while installing the program on Comodo Internet Security then reboot.

Hi Mark

Instructions:

1. Disable Sandbox/Defense+ (Right Click CIS Icon >Sandbox/Defense+ Security Level > Disable )
This Will Allow The Tool To Disable and Remove CIS and Other Protected/Safe Applications without Interruptions

2. Download Application

3. Run Application (As Administrator)

4. Select Product You Wish To Uninstall/Remove
