Cold Fusion on IIS7 installation Error

I install Cold Fusion on IIS7 and Configure IIS for ColdFusion, and I do these settings at Windows Server 2008. But when I try to install ColdFusion on Window Server 2008 then I receive HTTP 404.3 Error, HTTP Error 404.3 -Not Found.The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.

I am very confused about this error. Please tell me how can I remove this error.

Cold Fusion on IIS7 installation Error

It means that you don't have the handler for cfm files.

You can check if your problem gets solved by trying this method.

Uninstall your Cold Fusion.

Than

Go to the control panel, programs and turn windows features on or Off.

Now go to the internet Information server settings and check every box that is available there.

After that , go to http://localhost or 127.0.0.1 your local host In internet explorer and make sure you could see IIS graphic.

Now reinstall your Coldfusion software with a single server configuration.

Also try to download the latest coldfusion updates.

Cold Fusion on IIS7 installation Error

Hi Dear,

When you install cold fusion on windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows server 2008, you may receive this error  "HTTP 404.3"

you can avoid this error in future by doing some steps.

You should have to install ISAPI Extensions and IIS meta base and IIS 6 Configuration compatibility. Try to install latest packages or updated packages of these.

After installing these packages start windows feature program. To do so, Open control panel and then choose programs and features.

When it will open then choose those two features (which i have described above to install) means select these two features.

After selecting this, install Cold fusion. Now it will install without any error.
