Is chrome web video downloader 2011 the best tool for downloading videos?

I'm trying to find the best web video Downloader in terms of user interface and reliability. Another plus is, when downloading, in what format would it be?

From what I've read from some websites, Google has packaged Chrome with a flash video player while Firefox has the advantage to have add-ons and plug-ins. Which do you think is better over-all, Chrome web video Downloader 2011 or Mozilla Firefox?

What is best really differs from person to person as it is a matter of fulfilling ones needs. I will suggest you to try a software that I personally use, “Internet download Manager”. It is a very easy to use software and efficient, It can download all kinds of stuff from the internet like documents, music, videos etc.

You can set it to automatically detect content on a web page and download it or you can do it manually. It downloads files in their original format, flash videos are downloaded in .flv format. I am giving you the download link, try it out.

I’ve been a big fan and long time user of Mozilla. Every time I go to the web, it’s the only browser I use. Just like you, I’m also fond of downloading web videos from the net and the only software that I trust when downloading is the Mozilla Flash Video Downloader. It is an add-on that you can download and plug-in on your Mozilla and it works a wonder. Simply go to this website:

Download it and run. After successfully installing it, you will see a blue arrow pointing downward right beside your address bar, just like what you see below:

Then you visit your favorite video site like YouTube and play the video. Click on the arrow and you will see a list of extensions that this plugin can provide. Select your desired extension and that’s it! You will just have to wait for it to finish downloading.
