I have a yahoo messenger and used it not too long. Furthermore, I know how to handle it. Even going to the files and select to enter the Yahoo Chat room either select the Recent Chat room whereas the window that is automatically appear was failed. Well I was pointing to CAPTCHA LINK, and looking forward the conversation inside the chat room.
Actually, when I decided to enter the chat rooms it doesn't work. Am I banned? I reboot and reinstalled the yahoo messenger and yet error still there. Another thing I would like to tell you that I am using Mac with Tiger (OS 10.4.11). And using the older yahoo messenger is 3.0 that running on my Mac's pre-leopard.

Chat room issue in Yahoo messenger
So when you log into the yahoo messenger you cannot access it successfully, or if the error with the yahoo chat room only? I will suggest that you try the following as the workaround.

Close the yahoo messenger completely, together with the chat room.

On your computer press ctrl+alt+delete to open the task manager.

Click on the processes tab.

Under the processes, locate the yahoo messenger process and select it, and then click on end process.

Close the task manager.
Once you have removed the yahoo messenger from the task manager, restart your computer and then open the yahoo messenger. Log in and access the chat room and see if it will work.

Chat room issue in Yahoo messenger
The problem you are experiencing with your Yahoo! Messenger client that you cannot enter a chat room also happens to me once in a while. I guess the reason for this is the number of users or chatters currently in the room. Before you enter a room, you will notice the number displayed on the side. It indicates the number of chatters currently inside the room.
I don’t know the maximum number of chatters a room can have because sometimes I can enter a room with so many chatters and there are times I cannot enter a room that only few people are chatting. Sometimes I enter a room and nothing happens. In your case, you may try updating your Yahoo! Messenger client if you haven’t updated yet.
Visit the Yahoo! website and download the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger. Once downloaded, open your current Yahoo! Messenger client and log out your account. After that, click Start, Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs. Select Yahoo! Messenger from the list then click Uninstall or Remove. Restart your computer when you are prompted. Next, open Windows Explorer then navigate to the download folder.
Double-click the Yahoo! Messenger client installer you downloaded to install the latest version. Once installed, start Yahoo! Messenger and sign in to your account. Try joining a room in the public chat to see if it is working. On December 14, 2012, the Yahoo! Messenger Public Chat Rooms service was shut down. And currently, the public chat rooms are no longer accessible.
