There are many reasons to change the name of your computer. It can be a bit of a difficult task for a beginner, but it’s not as complicated as you might think. Here’s a simple procedure for it:
1. First right click on the 'My Computer' icon and then choose ‘Properties’ by clicking on it.
2. Then click on the ‘Computer Name’ tab seen on the upper side of the Windows screen.
3. Here comes a ‘Change’ button. Simply click it and enter the name you want, on the editable region.
4. Finally click the ‘OK ’ button.
5. Changes will be in effect the next time you start the computer.
