CD/DVD drive is not opening on Dell

Hi,

I have a Dell computer that is 1 year old. I have a collection of CDs with my favorite music and I used to play them a lot. But now the DVD ROM is not opening and I can’t use it. Sometimes it opens after a struggle and I can’t eject the CD when done. Could someone provide a quick fix if available and also recommendations of other DVD ROMs for replacement?

Restart the computer and try to eject.

* Try ejecting using windows Explorer (My Computer Right Click on Optical Drive Icon and Select Eject).
* Try to eject in BIOS.
* Also try to eject using the emergency ejecting switch (insert a straightened paper clip into the emergency eject hole, next to the eject button to lose the tension of the spring).
* Update the BIOS and Dell Quickset.
