CCleaner won’t work properly in Windows 7 x64

The latest version of CCleaner that I installed doesn’t work properly on Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit). After updating it, it worked fine.  But now, it only deletes the Windows Log files and everything else is left untouched. It also doesn’t provide me with the list of things that need to be cleaned. Can you please help me with this problem? Thanks.

CCleaner won’t work properly in Windows 7 x64

The problem here might be that the ccleaner that you just installed has some bugs, and that could be caused by the setup that you used to install being corrupt. You will therefore need to try the following:

• Uninstall the ccleaner that you just installed.
• Go to the internet and download the latest version of ccleaner; the site should not be the one you downloaded from earlier.
• After you have installed trying running it and see if it will clear all contents as you want.

Some thing that you should check before you even do the above is check if the checkboxes for clearing the stuff that has not been cleaned are marked. In case the checkboxes are not marked, you will need to mark them.
