I want to capture still photos of some movie parts I have on my laptop, you know, just some good parts to make them my wall paper. Is there any software that does this and you can edit them and combine them with other still images you got in HD? Well hit me up. Thanks!

Most video players have an option to capture frame when playing a movie. You can use VLC player which enables you to capture frames (from Video menu, click Snapshot to capture a screenshot of a frame.)
If you’re using Windows Vista/7/8 you may also use the Snipping tool which allows you to capture a particular area of the screen.

VLC player does that brilliantly. Run the movie and hit command
1. Open your video on VLC media player.
2. Pause your video to the point for which you need to capture image.
3. On Video menu click Snapshot (Menu bar –> Video –> Snapshot)
4. Your image is saved
5. You can access your image from default store location.
6. To change default storage location go to Menu –> Tools –> Preference
7. Under Preference –> Video –> Video Snapshot section. Change your location.

Good day, Corey Joel!
Your problem can be solved without installing any software. Just simply play the movie file using your preferred media player(eg. VLC, Potplayer, Windows Media Player), double click on the screen to switch to full-screen mode, drag the forward and backward button to the part of the movie that you want to capture, then pause the movie and click Print Screen button on your keyboard. Open a Paint program and paste the screenshot. Save the picture and set it as your desktop wallpaper.
Hope this helps!
