My hard drive is going crazy this day. I wasn't able to open it by double clicking on the mouse or pressing enter button. I need to go right click it and click open for me to be able to open my hard drive. Don't know what the heck is this and how to rectify this kind of issue. Below is the error message, when I try to open it by double clicking or pressing enter.
"Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components Windows cannot find Autoplay.exe".

Cant Open my Hard disk drive by double clicking on the mouse.
Hi Irish,
Aside from what you have described, you will also see that “Autoplay” is the default menu when you right-click your hard drive.
Please try the resolution below:
This kind of issue happens if there is a file named Autorun.inf in the hard drive's root directory. You need to right-click the hard drive and choose "Open". Search for the file Autorun.inf, delete it. After deleting the autorun.inf file, you have to restart your Windows.
If the Autorun.inf line reads the following, it will display:
[Autorun]
Open=Setup.exe
C:WindowsSystem32Setup.exe is launched actually
If the Autorun.inf line reads the following, it will display:
[Autorun]
Open=Filename.exe (where the filename.exe file is missing)
Additionally, the file Autorun.inf is not intended to be on the hard drive root folder. Autorun.inf is being used in CD-ROMs (for launching CD programs automatically).
Best,
Arthur
