Can’t log in to Garena server with BlackBerry modem

hi, I could not log in to Garena server when I'm using blackberry modem tethering. It's okay when i changed to a normal usb modem. Is this a blackberry issue?

Hello,

Yes it is indeed a Blackberry issue. First stop is, you have to contact Blackberry support team and have your BES or Blackberry Enterprise Server enable. After the BES is enable you can now then setup you blackberry phone to a modem tethering. 

Here are some list of the supported models for blackberry modem tethering.

Model 710X, 7290m 7250, 8100, 8700, 7130, 7510/7520/7230/7730/7780/7100i

Call your network operator for the your mobile's internet configuration.

Hi,

Yes it is a Blackberry problem. You should convert back to your normal modem to connect to Gerena. Maybe its because the you didn't tether you modem correctly. For a full tutorial on how to tether your Blackberry modem go to this link http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2012/04/tether-blackberry-to-internet/ Select your mobile model which you want to tether and follow the procedure accordingly. No, it is not a BlackBerry issue. Since you are connecting to a Garena server, you are probably trying to play an online game. Since you are connecting to the internet using your BlackBerry phone via tethering, try first opening a website on your computer using your web browser. If your connection is properly configured, you should be able to browse a website.

Once verified that there is an internet connection, try logging in to a Garena server. If this still fails then the problem is with the connection. Because you are connecting through a Smartphone, the speed of the connection is a lot slower compared to when using a normal USB mobile broadband modem. Garena doesn’t have a speed requirement if you want to connect.

It is the game you want to play on Garena that will require a minimum connection speed. If you want to play an MMORPG on Garena on your computer, you should use a normal USB mobile broadband modem instead of a Smartphone via tethering because the handset is not designed to handle big loads of data on high speed connection.
