Can’t able to access the proper internet connection

 I have a Pc where by I connect to Net gear Wireless router WGR614V10-N150 and it works properly but when I connect it to my laptop ACER it shows that it is connected but I cannot be able to access my internet. What could be the cause of this is it the software to hardware problem or is the hardware used. I advice as I could not be able to know where the problem is.

Can’t able to access the proper internet connection

Troubleshooting your internet connection. Make sure you have the correct IP address, subnet, default gateway and DNS. DNS can be your IP address and you gateway  from your ISP (Internet Service Provider). If you are having a problem surfinng the net always check you Proxy LAN. 

STEPS:

>>Wrench tool>> settings >> Show advanced Settings >> go to network and click the change proxy settings >> Internet properties message box will appear >> Choose fron the connections listed and click OK..

Hi Ashley Palmes,

Sometime the internet service providers set up a specific setting or network connection that will let you connect only with the specific machine. For example: if your network connection is configured to use only with your pc, then you cannot use it on other pc or laptop. They do so to avoid multiple or simultaneous use. If that is the case, call your service provider & tell them about your problem. They will then establish a flexible network connection which will let you use it on any pc or laptop. Hope this helps.
