Cannot update the os of apple i touch

I have I touch 2G. Whenever i try to install the update, it asks for a serial. But I don't have any. Does it comes with box? I don't have the box. What do I do now? Is there anyway to continue updating without that serial number? What do I do? Please Help.

Cannot update the os of apple i touch

Hello,

If it ask for a serial number then it could be installed with the serial number only. Else it won't be possible to update it. There are possibilities of finding the seiral on the back side of the product. If not then you should get it with the person whom you bought it with. Please contact your seller for the serial number. If you need to update your system then only serial key will help to do so. If you insert the serial key once then you will not have to insert it again and again. Once inserted its done.
