Nokia's Lumia 610 carries a the minimum of 256 MB of RAM which causes incompatibility issues on big applications like Skype. When will Nokia improve the specifications and features of Lumia 610? How much will this modification affect the suggested retail price of Lumia 610?

Cannot Install Skype Apps on Nokia’s Lumia 610

 

Hi Stewart

Nokia Lumia 610 has been out in the market since February 2012 and there has no plans yet in updating it. Nokia and Skype where not communicating very well. Skype claims that a 512 MB is required to make the app functioning well but Nokia didn’t adhere to the specification of the app. Now, Nokia is fully convinced that Skype is not compatible with Lumia 610. Lumia 610 phones are stuck to 256MB and can’t run Skype. You might as well consider of replacing Lumia 610 to another brand of phone or a different model if you badly needed the Skype app.

For now, it is very clear that Lumia will not get Skype application.
