Cannot Create Direct show Player

Hello,

What is the reason for the error message as I am using Windows XP Operating System? I am also unable to understand this issue so I need your assistance to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for help.

Cannot Create Direct show Player

The reason is usually because the file format is not compatible to the the streaming media where it is being played. If it is not compatible, Direct Show will not work. There are certain formats like Windows Media Player that needs a specific version for it to work properly. It is quite common that if you are using Windows Media Player version 10 that you have to downgrade to version 9 for it to work.

 

The other thing you can do is to reinstall your Windows Media Player and download DirectX. You can do this regardless of your Windows Media Player version. This has worked for some people with the same problem.

The last tip I can give you is to upgrade your Windows Media Player to version 11. It could work in the same way as it does when you downgrade to Windows Media Player version 9. The compatibility issue may be resolved. This has worked also for some people.

Cannot Create Direct show Player

Hello there !!

The reason behind the issue you are getting is that, your hardware is not supporting the Direct Draw. As Direct Draw is basically the hardware acceleration which is used during the playing of any video file. As video file need the hardware driver for getting rendered, and the video/player that you are using might not be supporting the DirectX and due to this you are getting this error. So what you need to do is that install the latest DirectX and enable the hardware acceleration this will solve your issue.
