Hello,

I am trying to install SharePoint 2013 foundation for a single Local server. Under the Windows server 2012 data center, I am installing a new server farm. I have installed SQL server 2012 express edition with other prerequisite software. I got the following error message at the end of installation. Why am getting this error? Help me. Thanks in advance.

SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard

Cannot connect to database master at SQL server at AZAD-PCVSQL.

The Database might not exist, or the current user does not have permission to connect to it.

Hi Larry,
The error has occurred because the TCP/IP setting of SQL Server was disabled.
The stepwise solution to it is:
1) In the SQL server, go to 'SQL Server Configuration Manager'
2) Select 'Protocols for MS SQLSERVER'
3) Check the TCP/IP Protocol status
4) Click 'OK'
