Can Uniblue 2 clean my registry?

I have noticed that my desktop's speed has become slow.  I'm thinking that I have to clean and fix the registry to bring it back in top shape.  Can Uniblue 2 scan, fix and optimize my system registry?  I'm on Windows XP 32 bit Sp 2.  Thanks in advance.
