Can’t install WinZip in Windows 7; Error code = 5 prevents it

I am getting the following error on my Windows 7 PC.

The error no 5 is not enabling me to install WinZip on the machine.

This is some sort of protection that Windows Vista and Windows 7 come with.

Please help me.

WinZip could not save your resistration credentials in C:ProgramDataWinZipWinZip.sureg.

Could not write data to file,error code=5

Hi Kevin!

Try to follow these steps to resolve this issue regarding Winzip:

Method 1

1. Click Start.

2. In the search box, type C:ProgramData and press Enter.

3. Look for the Winzip folder  and delete it.

4. Install WinZip and Enter your registration information.

Method 2

1.Go to start and choose Control Panel.

2. Click User Accounts and Family Safety.

3.Choose User Accounts

4. Click Change User Accounts Control Setting.

5. Drag the slider to the bottom and click ok.

6. Restart your computer and try to install and register WinZip.

c:/programdata>delete winzip

Problem solved…………

Open winzip register and enjoy…!!!
