Can’t delete music from specific genre in Windows Media Player 12

I am having a very strange issue with my Windows Media Player 12. I have a genre that has 2 albums and while I was trying to change the genre type, WMP12 doesn't allow me to do that. I cannot even delete the genre. I can modify other genre on other albums and delete them but the first genre that has 2 albums, it cannot be modified. And also, the songs in one album doesn't show up but when checking manually of the file, it is visible and I can be able to play all the songs. How can I correct this issue?

Maybe the albums on that particular genre is copy protected that’s why you can not modify it. Try installing Winamp and then modify it there. If you have songs that do not come out in the Windows Media Player’s library but physically available if manually checking its location, you might want to check the file’s extension name. It is possible that the songs’ file name extensions are not supported by Windows Media Player 12 or maybe a different problem. You may also check the file properties of the songs if they are not set to hidden.

You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors.
