Can’t access pendrive from Haier laptop

Since last 3 month I am using Haier T3B Laptop.

For a couple of week I am facing a problem. When I enter my pen drive to the USB option, I hear the beep sound and the light of pen drive blinks.

But after 4 or 5 seconds later light become off and I can’t access to the pen drive.

But this pen drive I can use in another PC.

I can’t understand what is happening.

Hi Paul101,

        It is a very common issue of USB Disk or Pendrive. You can resolve this issue by following method.

• Go to start menu and click on the control panel.
• Then you have to click on the Administrative option.
• Then you need to open Computer management option
• Then you have to go to Disk Management.
• You can see your USB device and right click on it and then you have to assign the Drive letter to another drive that has not been assigned yet.
• After change your Drive letter Reboot your computer.
• After reboot your computer try to connect your Pendrive again to your Laptop.

Hopefully it will work.

Can’t access pendrive from Haier laptop

If the pen drive works in a different machine, it is likely that the USB port on the machine in question is defective.

It may be unable to maintain the power requirement of the device or the leads may not have a good connection with the pen drive’s connector.

Try a different USB port and see if that helps any, if not, try updating your BIOS to the latest version.

Also try using another USB device and see if it works.

If it does then you may just need to update drivers for your computer.

Otherwise you may need a motherboard replacement.
