I am using Mac OS Leopard 10.5. Does SMART allow us to reset our hard drive? If it is possible can anyone tell me how can smart disc data reset be done ?

SMART is internal drive sector. Monitors your SATA hard drive and detects and repair bad sectors on your hard drive. You can reset SMART errors by inserting your OSX installation disk. Then choose a language and click on Open Disk Utility from Installer tab. Select Disk Utility and click First Aid. Finally click on the Repair Disk and wait. Then restart your computer.
