There is no doubt that the major reason that Google’s latest acquisition quick office that was announced on June 5 is to compete with their major competitor Microsoft Office. Quick office runs on iPhones, iPads, android tablets and Symbian devices. The new version of office 15 a.k.a Office 2013 could arrive in mid June and is supposedly going to run on windows 7, Windows 8, Windows RT, windows Phone and perhaps the soon to be released iPad and android too. It will be interesting to see whether Google will reach the standards of Microsoft office as it has been trying to make some approaches but always falling short. So with their new acquisition it will be interesting to see what will happen.

Well, the competition these days is very hard between Microsoft's Ms-Office & Google's QuickOffice but QuickOffice which is the combination of Google's intuitive solutions and its own powerful products is on the top. Microsoft appears to have some plans like Microsoft Office heading to iOS and Android devices, with an app for iPads and Android tablets being released as soon as in November this year, but on the other hand Google planned to get a new Quickoffice-enhanced version of Google Docs up and with full compatibility with Microsoft's popular file formats, the battle may already be won by that point.
