Can anno 1503 gold multiplayer works in Windows 7 64 bit?

I was so excited when I finally got a hand on anno 1503 gold multiplayer. I was able to install it just fine, I have even tried to play the game for a bit. But before long, I am struggling to make it run as it starts to get crashing. It just turns gray and then I need to go to task manager to restart my computer. This is only happening to this particular game, so I suspect that this may not compatible with the Windows 7 operating system. Anybody can help me with this?

Yes, anno 1503 gold multiplayer can work in Windows 7 64 bit operating system but some moderation required. As you are felling compatibility problem then you run the application in XP compatibility mode. Just right click on the application and then trouble shoot your application, set to a mode that adjusts it.

I have researched about anno 1503 gold edition player. And I found is anno 1503 player works on windows 7 platform but only in windows XP compatibility mode. But then I found anno 1404 gold player which is actually available on windows XP and 7 platforms.
