Hi there everyone.

I am an IT programmer and has tried creating programs with C language many times already.

The Editor Im using for how many years already is Quincy and I would like to ask this to the IT professionals.

What is the latest C Programming Software today that is both user-friendly and can be downloaded right away.?

Hi Jcato,

If you want to study ANSI C, you should choose Turbo C or Borland C

If you want more environments for programming, I suggest you choose Visual Studio from Microsoft. There are many programming languages in VS, such as: C++, C#, F#, J#… The latest version of VS is Visual Studio 2012. But it requires much in hardware. So depend on your hardware, you can choose earlier version, like VS 2010, VS 2008, or VS 2005. Go to Microsoft official website (https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/) to find down which version suitable for your PC.

C Programming Software I could use

There is a wide range of editors or compilers from C/C++ available on internet. An editor is user friendly when the beginner use it first time, he just get it up. Here is a link where you can find the best editors for C/C++.

I have found Eclipse CDT, the best IDE for C and C++. as it is user friendly and easy to use.
