Hey, to set chrome as default browser can be done for all the OS such as in all versions of the windows as well as in the MAC OS it can be set. Also the same can be set on the devices as well of mobiles, table and many others too. Below shows the steps for windows PC:
• First get the chrome installed on the system
• Now go to the control panel manually
• Next select for the default programs in it
• Now click for setting it as the default programs
• Select the Google chrome form the list and click OK
• Set the same as default and it’s done successfully.

Setting a default web browser on your computer is easy and it can be done in two ways: one, from within the web browser itself, and two, from “Set Program Access and Defaults” in Windows. If you have Mozilla Firefox, click “Tools” and select “Options”. Another way is to enter without quotes “about:preferences” in the address bar and press Enter.

If you have disabled the menu bar, enable it to show the menus. Right-click an empty area at the top of the browser and select “Menu Bar”.

In “Options”, in “General” tab, click “Make Default” to make Mozilla Firefox the default browser.

After this, Mozilla Firefox should now be your default web browser. For Opera, click “Menu” and select “Settings” or simply press ALT + P on your keyboard. In “Settings”, select “Browser” on the left pane and look for “Default browser” on the screen. Click the same button to make Opera the default browser.

In the image below, Opera is already the default web browser that’s why the “Make Default” button is not available.
