I have a MacBook Pro, which has Mac OS 10.6 on it. I have the Avid Media composer installed on it. When I try to run the Avid Media Composer on my PC I get the following error message.

Avid Media Composer Failed to migrate license information

Avid Media Composer Failed to migrate license information. Please contact Customer Support for further assistance.

I am not sure how to proceed after this. I have the original package which I installed the application with and I have the license keys. Is there a way around this error message?

The Mac OS 10.6 supports the Avid Media Composer. The problem you are encountering is all about the program's changed permission in 10.6.

Search for this files and delete them. You have to go to \ApplicationsAvid Media Composer\Settings

After deleting those files, you have to go to \LibraryApplicationSupportAvidPixie and delete .pp2 or .fp2 files.

Change the settings of the permissions of your Avid.

The default setting must be open to everyone then activate it again.

Ensure that when doing this steps, you are running as Administrator.

If this first option failed to prevent the error message, you have to perform a Repair Disks Permissions. Just go to your Mac Utilities.

After doing so, you need to reattempt to activate the Avid.

Good luck!
