Hi Experts,
I am having the Avast anti virus and tried to scan my PC with Avast rootkit to see there any rootkit embedded to the softwares I have installed. But nothing detected. Then I try another rootkit checker and it worked. I really want to know why my Avast rootkit does not work. Advise me.

The avast antivirus's Rootkit remover is not that powerful. It is subsidiary to the main functionality of the software. Therefore, we cannot expect the same performance as a dedicated software. Rootkit removal tools are not resource hoggers and your PC will not slow down if you use a separate software for this purpose.
