How do I fix Avast Antivirus setup for pc low Mb speed? 

I scanned a 500 Mb file and had a speed of 23 MB/sec. 

Respectable but slow compared to Norton. 

Is there a way to tweak the set up?

Avast Antivirus setup for pc low mb speed

Hi,

First of all increase your system virtual memory and second thing works for you is by allotment of CPU usages for your avast antivirus. You can do it by reaching the option in avast antivirus setting. Now I tell you how to increase your PC virtual memory. Click on start -> Control Panel-> System and Security -> System -> and in right panel select advance system properties -> select the setting below the performance option then click on the advanced tab then click on the change button and after that you can change and edit system virtual memory. It will increase your system overall performance.

For better result use MS Security essentials antivirus.
