How do I access available dell studio 17 windows 7 drivers for my PC and before i format it what are the minimum requirements a PC should have before installing Windows 7 as the operating system?

Hi,

Please go to  http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/products/?app=drivers and enter your service tag no and register your laptop and after that follow the procedure to download require driver for your PC.

To install Windows 7 on your PC minimum requirements a PC.

• 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

If you have a Dell Studio 17 laptop that runs on Microsoft Windows 7, downloading the drivers is not a problem because it is always available or the drivers can always be downloaded from the Dell website. To download the drivers needed by your computer, head down to Dell Support Drivers and Downloads. Here, enter your laptop’s “Service Tag” code like for example without quotes “HL4C71S”.

You can find it on the side or bottom of your machine. Once you have it, enter it on the page and click “Submit” to check or look for downloads available. When it located your laptop, click the link to your laptop. On the next screen, click “Drivers & downloads” on the left pane.

Select “Windows 7” from the list of operating systems and then download all the appropriate drivers for your computer. Normally, not all downloads listed on the page are for your machine. Laptops, even if they are of the same model, are not built the same way. Some of the devices found on your machine may not be available on the other same model.
