This is an often encountered problem among the users of Windows 7, so you might want to try modifying the compatibility. First make sure you are in the administrator mode, then right-click on the program icon, go to Properties, check the "Run in compatibility" box and then try selecting what type of Windows you are using. You can still try to select other types, such as Vista instead of Windows 7 and vice versa.

If this doesn't work, I'm afraid you'll have to try uninstalling and reinstalling the program again. Don't forget to clean the registries after you uninstall it, preferably using a specialized software like CCleaner.
