ASUS laptop screen has dark spot on screen

I use an ASUS laptop that is not very old.  I noticed the other day that there was a dark spot on the screen, almost near the top right hand corner.  I restarted the laptop, cleaned the screen, and nothing will make it go away.  I have not dropped or hit anything off of the laptop.  I'm out of ideas for troubleshooting this annoying issue.  Can anyone assist?  Thank you.

ASUS laptop screen has dark spot on screen

According to the information given, the laptop may be considered to be manufacturing defective. If the laptop has a valid warranty or not, it should be consulted with the technical executive in the service center and thereby steps can be performed. The software solutions may not be effective as the laptop has a hardware issues. Using software to recover the problem may go against the warranty agreement. So it may be assisted to go to the service center for that particular laptop about the problem.
