Hi,

I wanted to have a built-in Bluetooth in my ASUS K40IJ series could it be possible? Can you help me? Thanks.

Asus K40IJ SERIES built-in Bluetooth

Hi Ace Atkins,

Asus K401J is the notebook which is available with Dual core, Celeron or core 2 duo processor and was launched in 2010. With its 14 inch screen and DDR2 ram it is good for office use and versatile performance.

But unfortunately you haven’t built in Bluetooth in this series.

You can check complete specifications of the notebook on below given link and you will see that Bluetooth is not in the list.

But thanks to modern technology, you can attach an external Bluetooth device on the USB port of the laptop. This external device will work like a built in device. Many such devices are easily available in the market, just visit your nearest computer market or superstore to buy one.

Asus K40IJ SERIES built-in Bluetooth

There is no way you can install an internal Bluetooth device into your ASUS laptop. It was designed without a Bluetooth device unlike other laptop computers. But even if you don’t have a built-in Bluetooth device on your laptop, you can always install an external Bluetooth device via USB port.

One of the external Bluetooth devices you can try is the Harman Kardon BTA-10 External Bluetooth Adapter which is available in Amazon for about $54. See image.

It supports wireless audio streaming from mobile devices and features the Harman TrueStream connectivity which guarantees the maximum quality of the connection. Another one you can try is the Rocketfish Micro Bluetooth USB Adapter. It measures 0.2 inches in height and 0.6 inches in width. It has a depth of 0.8 inches. It costs around $20. See image.

Another one is the IOGEAR Bluetooth 4.0 USB Micro Adapter which costs around $18. It measures 0.4 inches in height, 0.7 inches in width, and 0.75 inches in depth. It ships together with a driver CD and owner’s manual. See image.
