Assisting Multiple Virtual LANs on Dell PowerConnect

Is there a manner to enable the unalienable DHCP server on Dell PowerConnect 55xx in order to assist multiple Virtual LANs? I am having a hard time doing this because we are using different brands of switches here in the office. Any helpful tips you can share with me will be very much appreciated.

Assisting Multiple Virtual LANs on Dell PowerConnect

Hello,

 

In order to network with multiple VLANs using your device, you must follow these general steps:

 

1. Ensure that the firmware of your device is updated.

2. Use a GUI application (there should be one provided) or your preferred interface to enable the device as a DHCP server.

3. Create a pool of IP addresses.

4. Configure the pool.

5. Set the DHCP relay global settings.

You should also have access to a reference which guides you through the entire process. If that does not provide enough information, consult the manufacturer website.
