I am using the Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon desktop. I have run into a problem while trying to set up the linux mint desktop sharing using Vino VNC server or vino-server. But the vino-preferences tool for configuring vino-server no longer seems to exist. The desktop sharing menu is missing, too. How can I enable desktop sharing on my device?
Assistance Required Urgently With Linux Mint Desktop Sharing, Help, Please!
You can use the dconf-editor GUI for configuring vino-server and enabling desktop sharing. The following are the steps you will have to follow.
• Install dconf-editor and launch it.
• Click org.
• Click gnome.
• Click Desktop.
• Click Remote Access.
• Click Enabled.
• This will activate the option of remote access to the desktop.
• You will get various options for desktop sharing. Customize at will.
