Today I tried updating my PC, but because of some issue, I’m facing a windowsupdate_80244017 error. Can anyone give me the reason for this error and also a fix would help?
There are lots of reason for this problem. This error could also be because of the false security settings in the local user group; you can check if it’s because of the false security settings or not.
In some cases, it could also be the reason for ISS under WSUS administrator, where windows authentication might be disabled.
This error will also occur if the drive on which WSUS is installed had been taken out of user security settings.
