In mac Operating System I installed winrar ; then I downloaded one game from the Internet. This game consists of 6 parts. Now I am trying to extract it. When I go to the 2nd part, then I receive the below error. Can anyone tell me its solution. I downloaded this file from other sites but same error appears again and again.
Error detail is given below for your understanding.
Archieve Utility
Unable to unarchieve “1989 part2.zip” into “Revelations”.
(Error 9 – Bad file descriptor.)

That is a multi-volume archive, you don't extract every file manually. It will result in an error. You just need to extract the main zip file then all succeeding zipped files will automatically be unzipped. For example the one in the image you posted, 1989 part 2.zip. I’m sure the remaining files will be like this: 1989 part 3.zip, 1989 part 4.zip, and so on. The zip file will automatically be saved in the Revelations folder. I know this is a self-extracting archive because it’s a game. Try to look for a file that has a .exe extension, somewhat like 1989.exe. Or if you couldn’t find a file like this, try extracting the first archive, I think it is 1989 part 1.zip.
If you see a readme file, like readme.txt or readme.doc, open it then read it. There are instructions inside on how to unzip the whole game. If you see files that has a .nfo extension, right-click on it, choose Open With then choose Notepad from the list. Additional information is included inside.

Hi,
Try to save six files in different folders and finally save them all in one folder. This is one way. You can also follow different procedure as well. Un-Install the WinRAR and then reinstall it. Now try to unzip the folders again. Hope this works file for you. You also need to check the file. It might have got corrupt. In that case try to download the file again and then finally unzip it. This is the other way you can get this problem solved.
