If the P-Touch editor does not start, you can follow the following steps to try to start it.

First of all open HD by double-clicking on it. Then you have to open your library folder. In the next step open your printers folder and make a new brother folder with a lower case ‘b’. Next you have to copy following files located in the existing Brother folder to the brother folder you created.

/Library/Printers/Brother/****PDE.plugin

/Library/Printers/Brother/****PM.plugin

/Library/Printers/Brother/P-touch Utilities/P-touch Printer Utility

If you are using PT-9200DX or PT-2420PC, copy the two more files below:

/Library/Printers/Brother/P_TOUCH_IOM.plugin

 /Library/Printers/Brother/P_TOUCH_PBM.plugin

I hope these steps would solve your problem.

Hi,

This problem occurs if your hard disk is formatted as Mac OS Extended OR Mac OS Extended. However, if the hard disk is formatted as No case sensitive then this problem will not occur. This might be the solution. You can check it by following following steps:

Double click the HD icon on the desktop.

Now hold down the command key and press "I"key to display information.

Your hard disk information will be shown as below.

Mac-OS-Extended-Software-to-check-case-sensitivity

Then you can check for case sensitive and solve the problem.
